The Storm

Staying grounded during chaos and uncertainty.

Recently a storm rolled through town, leaving many, including me, without electricity, countless trees toppled, and flooded streets in its wake.

I reflected on how I take for granted what many in the world face everyday. Whether they are in war torn cities, experiencing extreme weather events, or live in an area that lacks the infrastructure to light their homes and keep their food fresh.

As I navigated the inconvenience of sourcing food for each meal, being unable to cook and store food, I saw how important it is to maintain grounding to diminish the overwhelm of a ‘storm’.

Whatever storm you face, severe weather, the loss of a family member, the breakup of a long friendship, a difficult divorce, or a job loss, the tumult and stress can impact your grounding.

I took my own medicine – meditating, mindfulness, slowing down and making space and peace with the moment as it is.

Finding nurturing food brought me awareness of the preciousness of the moment, of having my needs met.

While ‘storms’ foster chaos and uncertainty, you can meet them with an open heart and grounded connection to yourself, and to those around you.

Energy healing teaches you how to care for your energy body, and weather the storms of life with more grace and grounding.
